Typically Dutch 005: Fietsenmakerij

Bicycle Repair Shops (fietsenmakerij or fietsenmaker) are not only repairing bikes, but they also sell second hand bikes and accessories. I like this shop below in Amsterdam, very Dutch with the flag representation and with the bike parked in front.

The total population in the Netherlands is 17 Million plus. Did you know that there are more bicycles in the Netherlands than people? And that there are more than 19,000 kilometers of cycling paths here?

After the incident on New Years day, my bike has since recovered (and my knee too!). Dutchman fixed the bicycle himself. He does not like paying for something that he can do himself... which is another typically Dutch thing by the way.
