Octopus drying in Lesvos, Greece

Trivia: Did you know that the plural form of octopus is octopi? Sounds funny.

In the Greek Islands octopus drying is a familiar scene, especially along the harbour that is filled with kafenions and touristy restaurants, you can find rows of octopus drying lines outside. Above photos were taken in Mithymna (Molyvos) harbour, Lesbos Island.

I actually love octopus, grilled please. I enjoyed this traditional greek food so much that I ordered this thrice already for this holiday. 2x for dinner and 1x for lunch. Yummy!

Today we’ll hit the beach and lounge on the sun beds, perhaps we’ll go to a little mountain village as well for coffee or a lemonade later. And tonight, maybe I’ll have another grilled octopus for dinner.
