An Afternoon on Anaxos Beach and Grilled Fish and Greek Salad Lunch

It is cold and misty outside in the Netherlands now so let us reminisce a bit of the good old summer days.

This is just one of the many late and slow lunches we’ve had on a lazy afternoon in Lesvos Island, Greece during our holiday there last summer.

I forgot the name of the eating place but it’s the restaurant on Anaxos at the end of the beach stretch. It's run by a local Greek family. We ordered grilled fish and a bowl of Greek salad. In no time we were surrounded by cats purring sweetly. How can you resist?

The owner of the restaurant quickly told us not to give food to the cats because they do not want the animals making a mess on the floor. Not on the sand as well because the cats leave the fish bones in there and who knows who might walk on there and get the prick. OK, fine!

The refreshing Greek Salad is always a good idea when it is hot.

The sweet cat wants some of the fish =)

Dutchman and I stayed on the beach relaxing, swimming, reading and listening to music until the sun has set down on the horizon.

Ah, I miss summer already.
