Chilling Out with the Grandmas at Cafe Caspari in Alternahr, Germany

Am I cool or what? Chilling out with the grandmas? =)

Cafe Caspari is a famous cafe restaurant located on the intersection road in Alternahr. It is always busy at this cafe restaurant, which is the reason why I shared my table with the grandmas. I had a chilled dry rose and they each had a mug of coffee and a big slice of cake. If I am not mistaken it is the Frankfurter Kranz cake.

I remember that I wanted to order some cake as well. I got jealous because everyone around me were having cakes, however I was not really hungry, and on top of that I am not a sweet tooth person by nature, so I let go of the idea.


This glass is a traditional German  Roemer wine glass in amber.


You can see behind Cafe Caspari the ruins of the Altenahr Castle on top of the hill.

My friend Bubbles, whom I was travelling with in the Balkans, had a request that we stop over at Medjugorje. We got lucky because Medjugorje was on the way to Dubrovnik, Croatia, which is our next stop. Half an hour into our driving, we reached Medjugorje. Walking Discoveries and Map of Porto Centre

Porto is a lovely, old and rough-hewn city and I have very much enjoyed my visit here last March. The city centre is easily walkable which I adore. I am a great fan of walking. Walking is actually what I do best when travelling, I walk from one square to attraction to another, and it is no secret that I indulge in food, thus after sampling different types of local delicacies, it makes me feel good that those calories are going somewhere else other than to my (bulging) stomach and (flabby) arms. However, if you are mobility challenged, there are the old world trams and modern sightseeing buses to bring you around.
