The Netherlands From Above

This was taken last April while the plane was flying low above the Netherlands...

The Netherlands is flat.
The Netherlands is as low as can be.
The Netherlands is so linear. Can you see those slender lines?

The Netherlands is a marshland.
The Netherlands is very green.
The Netherlands is so orderly and well-planned.
The Netherlands has water everywhere. Rivers, canals, moats, lakes, streams, ponds and more.
The Netherlands looks so clinical.
The Netherlands is systematic, methodical, structured.
The Netherlands is pretty.

Just looking at the Netherlands from above gives us an idea of the kind of values the country adopts.

These are the typical Dutch farms with modern windmills.

The Netherlands is not joking when she says she's very flat.

Looks like every square meter is planned and accounted for a purpose.

Marshland, swamps, lakes and lots of water.

Man-made roads and dikes.

The Netherlands is very green.

Those lines in between the (green) pieces of rectangular land are bodies of water. They also act as the official border of the land property.

Countryside planning, Dutch style.

I fly mostly with KLM.
