I mentioned in my previous Benalmadena post, ‘Benalmadena Nightlife and the Marina’ that I will come back to this place during the day and take lovely fotos of this award-winning Costa del Sol marina. The Puerto Marina is not only for mooring yachts, home to upscale apartments, shopping, bars, clubs and restaurants. It is a perfect place to host a day excursion for kids as well. There are 2 theme parks here, (1) the Selwo Marina showcasing dolphins, penguins and seals and (2) the SeaLife Aquarium featuring many other amazing marine creatures. The Benalmadena marina can easily be reached on foot via the coastal paved boulevard from Torremolinos and I think as well as from Fuengirola, otherwise there are regular buses servicing between towns, and of course by boat and car as well. Beware though that during the summer months parking can be a nightmare in Costa del Sol. Beach in Benalmadena and the boardwalk on the marina filled with shops, restaurants and boardwalk vendors. Nightlife in Benalmadena on Costa del Sol is very much alive! It is a busy place overflowing a bevy of young partygoers, locals and tourists, even oldies like us are seen hanging out. Cafes, bars, pubs, discos and clubs fill the marina and the beach coast. The gay scene seems to be huge here as well. Some nightly entertainment here in one of the bars on Costa de Sol, Benalmadena. Unfortunately, Dutchman and I were too old to get drunk, thus no wild partying, no throwing up and no crawling on our knees back to our hotel. I know, we are so boring. Sorry. The town sits between Torremolinos and Fuengirola and its original pueblo is about 3 kilometers from the coast on the hill. I have seen the town passing through to Mijas, very pretty actually, a typical white-fronted village with black grill windows and plants hanging from the white walls.
