Sailing to Formentera from Ibiza and sleeping on the Catamaran
Halfway through our sailing around Ibiza Island I became unwell, not seasick but sick with an awful throbbing head. I missed out on the jet skiing and the swimming. The swimming I can skip as I don’t really dare swim in the deep, however, my colleagues were making (a raucous) fun about it. In the Netherlands, swimming is an integral part of a child’s primary education, as early as age 4. They have mandatory swimming diplomas: ‘Swimming Diploma A’ for basic swimming and ‘Swimming Diploma B’ for advanced swimming. By the time they are 6 years old, they can swim unattended. Anyway, I have a valid excuse not to swim this time: I had a searing headache. So after the jet skiing and swimming nearby Ibiza we set on off to Formentera Island.
