An Evening Queen's Walk along London's River Thames

Back in March of last year (2015), I did an evening stroll on the bankside of the the River Thames in London. From Southwark all the way to Westminster. Actually, I did not know this Queen's Walk existed, I just happened to walk on this route and thought I would walk all the way to the Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. Here is the route though: The Queen's Walk . Hmm, all the more reason to do this again during the day. On this particular day I did not eat a lot. I only had a croissant in the morning and a not so huge walking lunch in the nearby Borough Market , however, I still felt full and instead of having dinner, I did the evening walk. The walk was quite safe. When you are alone in your travels, I noticed that it makes going out for dinner a bit challenging. I do eat dinner most of the times in restaurants during my solo travels, but with a big city like London where going to good restaurants need a reservation, it just somehow felt different this time. Must for every Foodie visiting London: Borough Market

Did you know that I went to heaven last March when I visited the Borough Market in London? *grin* I mean I just adore and go crazy visiting food markets in Spain, Italy and France (these countries have the best markets in Europe in my humble opinion) but the Borough Market in London has one thing unique that you cannot find in other European markets. It’s the international variety of food she has on offer. In my travels, I have never ever seen such a wide-ranging market. The world’s cuisine under one roof! Each continent represented by several country cuisines in one market. That’s the Borough Market for you. You might be aware of this already. London has been attracting a lot of emigrants, and these days asylum seekers from war-torn countries in Africa and the Middle East (have you read the recent news in the Calais border?).
