My Pictures of the Tower Bridge of London
We all know that the Tower Bridge is one of the biggest London attractions. A London and Victorian architecture icon so to speak. Thousands of people and vehicles pass on this bridge every single day. I am about to be one of them on this particular March day. My hotel is just around the corner so I decided to take a stroll around the area of London City. I crossed the River Thames over on London Bridge , walked around London City and then went back to my hotel via the Tower Bridge. I have been to London several times but this was the first time that I walked on the Tower Bridge. Apart from the big number of tourists, I was quite taken by the colours and the details of the bridge. I do not think I have seen such bright colourful pallet for a historical monument bridge as the Tower Bridge. A combination of bright seal blue and cobalt blue colours and accented with red and white? Pushing it to the edge of tackiness methinks. But yet the colours came out surprisingly in harmony ...
