Stunning Montreal Street Art Mural Painting Scene

Oh wow, I did not expect to find really awesome and stunning street art in Montreal!

My favourite street art mural painting which can be found in the Plateau area. This was just WOW. Just look at the details, the concept, everything else.

Youâ€™ll find loads of stunning random street art in the city. On street corners, back alleys and even on the back of the buildings in open-air garages. The street art scene here in Montreal is really gorgeous, it is so far one of the best I have ever seen. They arenâ€™t just graffiti, they are truly pieces of special street art. I mean A-R-T! You can clearly see through the talent in these mural paintings. They add life, colour, vigour and character to the city. Câ€™est incroyable.

They even have Montreal Street Art Tours here, and wait– a Mural Festival as well during summer! How cool is that?

I wish I had more time to hunt them down on foot with a camera. But I managed to shot a few of these lovelies so I am a happy camper. As you can see in the above photo, I even have a favourite =)

You can find a large concentration of these street art in the Plateau area. I accidentally bumped into them when I was on my way to the auberge I was staying for the evening across Parc de la Fontaine. There was a major road works going on near the auberge and they have closed down one of the main roads which sent me driving around in circles in the Plateau area. A blessing in disguise as I was truly entertained by the rerouting. I saw lots of street art in the process!

On Rue Saint Denis and Boulevard Saint Laurent you can see a lot of these lovely works of art.
