Zabrieski Point in Death Valley: A must stop

The Zabrieski Point is simply amazing! From here you can see beautiful limestone sediments and volcanic lava formed through time. This part of Death Valley existed millions of years ago before Death Valley came into existence. A product of erosion, the spectacular views from the Zabrieski viewing point which is a short uphill walk from the car park is one of the most famous in the whole valley and cannot be missed.

There were many other things to see in Death Valley as well as I was eyeing on detouring to a ghost town nearby called Rhyolite in Beatty, Nevada but we didn’t have the luxury of time. It would have been nice to stay overnight here and drive back to Las Vegas the next day... well, can't always have everything in life right.

The Zabrieski Point is a must stop when in Death Valley.

A closer foto of the waves of limestone sediments. Breathtaking work of nature.

We are approaching the limestone sediments near Zabrieski Point here which is about a mile from Furnace Creek. Fotos of this beautiful work of nature are below at the end part of this entry.

Death Valley is the highway 190 to California. It's about 3+ hours drive from Las Vegas via Pahrump then Death Valley Junction.
