In Jordan: Our last peek at Wadi Musa and off to Wadi Rum!

The next day we woke up to a beautiful blue-skies sunny day in Wadi Musa. I loved the town valley view from our room’s window and I quite felt sorry that we were leaving. So before we finally left Wadi Musa terrain, we stopped by a viewing point cliff for a quick last look of the beauty of Wadi Musa.

There are actually several viewing points with car parking along the King's Highway (going south). Here you can see amazing vistas of the rose-red limestone mountain that surrounds the ancient and lost city of Petra.

A few souvenir fotos of course were in order.

So we drove on the King’s Highway from Wadi Musa until we reached the Desert Highway intersection. The King’s Highway is an exhilarating experience on its own but it’s the northern part of the highway after Wadi Musa that has breath taking spectacular views, which I will blog separately later.

On the road on the King's Highway (south) with my handy Nokia GPS - OVI Maps. This time Blondine is driving.

King's Highway. Meh! Meh! Goat traffic here...

Still on the King's Highway. Flock of sheep roaming the hills.

Now on the Desert Highway.

We are almost there!

We were aptly warned about camel traffic.

And indeed, there was a lost camel in the middle of the road. Welcome to Wadi Rum!

Next, our amazing Wadi Rum Desert adventure series
