A new place to stay in the south of Cebu: Eden Resort

The main reason why we are going to the south of Cebu (Santander) is to see the popular whale sharks of Oslob.

There are quite a number of hotels, resorts and guesthouses in the south but they did not meet my standards and expectations. There are no 4 and 5 star resort hotels here. There’s Sumilon Resort in Sumilon Island which I did entertain however it’s not really that handy as we needed to arrange boat transfers and we do not have the freedom to just drive anywhere.

Luckily, I found Eden Resort in Santander, Cebu from an old school friend in Facebook who stayed at the resort with her family earlier in the year. She posted lots of pictures of their stay which generated a lot of interest amongst her friends of course. With that I made sure to take down the name of the resort and the website’s address.

I like that the resort is very small. It only has 8 rooms for now although I think there are plans of expansion.

I like the fact that they have an infinity edge pool.

I also like their food here. It is not haute cuisine level but they try their best to present the dishes nicely and most importantly, they are tasty.

I like that the room and bathroom are quite spacious. It has a big open terrace as well with a lovely view to the sea and to Negros Occidental Island.

Although the garden and landscaping needs to be better, I like that they have so many variety of flowers!

Moreover, I like the fact that its only less than 10 minutes drive to the whale sharks in Oslob.

Next, a lovely surprise when we woke up the next day.
