Kuala Lumpur Central Market, Malaysia
If you have been reading this blog you know how crazy I am about markets. We have enjoyed the market scene in Malaysia tremendously, especially in the Cameron Highlands but that is another separate entry that I will touch on later. In Kuala Lumpur there are two main (big) markets and these are the Petaling Street Market (basically Chinatown) and KL Central Market.
Central Market

Website: Central Market Kuala Lumpur
The market was found in 1888 by a certain Lap Ah Loy, a Chinese Kapitan and the area used to be an open wet market.
There are 3 parts of the Central Market:
1) The Main Central Market Building
2) The Kasturi Walk – This is the outdoor covered pedestrianized lane
3) Annexe Gallery reserved for art galleries and exhibition
To know how to get here by bus please check the website, otherwise, take a cab, they are everywhere and cheap in KL but make sure you take a metered cab that is not waiting on the line or somewhere around a corner because they will surely charge you for a ridiculous tourist price. I need to write a blog entry about our taxi experiences here some time.
Ready to see the scenes in the Central Market? Come along with me!

This is the Kasturi Walk.
Deep fried fish snacks.
Inside the main Central Market building are stalls designed in traditional Malaysian houses.
At some point I lost my mom (and dad) in the market and after going around the building I found her in this stall.
There are a few outdoor cafes here as well.
Cool Blog drink stand? Peace bro =)
Apart from white flowers that I adore, I am intrigued with blue flowers. Of course these roses were colour mutated.
