Bubble Wrap and some Humor

When I am bored in the office, the BUBBLE WRAP serves as one of my favorite amusement and distraction. It gives me the pleasure and fills up the void when I have a doggone spiritless day. Can you say temporary bestfriend?

I would usually sneak into the warehouse, which is in the other building, hoping to filch some left over bubble wraps. The bad news: there is this Dutch bulldog guarding the entrance, and based on experience, he can be pretty nasty. The bulldog had a row with one of my colleagues last week because he took the liberty of opening a box, kind of like pilfering, without his permission. So I know better not to cross his path.

Hence, as stealth as a cat, I quickly abducted the bubble wrap laying in the warehouse table, fast before the Dutch bulldog sees me and roasts my small butt.

I don’t know, but the act of popping each bubble makes my teeth gnaw in raw. My fingers would crawl and itch to nip the bubbles, haha. And the prick sound is like a lovely song to my ears. Strange really and when I start, forget it, I just can’t stop! It can become an addiction. Other times, I want to stomp on all the bubbles at once. The only way I can be silenced is when someone seizes the bubble wrap and ties my hands with it.

    hi, i love going to ikea but not because of the furnitures... they have swedish meatballs at the cafe. can't get enough!

    Bubble wrap ROCKS! My dad used to to bring us huge sheets of it when we were little and my addiction lingers to this day. The other day I got a package in the mail and got so excited to find it wrapped in bubble wrap. One of the guys in my office was like "what'd you get that's so exciting?!" and I said "I don't know, but it's got bubble wrap!" I then proceeded to pop away. I saved a few bubbles for future popping too, the sheet is sitting by my desk...

    That IKEA cartoon is pretty funny and probably true too!

    I created a 'target' on the wall in front of my desk from a styrofoam sheet. I have the most sharpened pencils in the office. And my coworkers love target practice during lunch hour.

    Hehehe, like Rik, my dad used to bring us bubble wrap when we were kids, and we loved to prick them! But then when we were like 10 or sth, my mum interfered and told us we were 'too old' for that, and that my dad needed the bubble wrap to wrap precious stuff in... so with that, my fanatics died!

    Anyway, loved the adverts, i didn't see them anywhere here though, you always seem to have those ads that don't come to my attention... what newspaper are you on??

    Oh yeah, their famous meatballs! My favorite there is theri CHIPS, those homemade style chips just want me to ask more! I also dont buy furnitures there but they have nice kitchen and home accessories. Last weekend, Dutchman and I were there and I bought a new plant and new thin duvets for summer :-)

    Another bubble wrap fanatic! Hey,, you can use the online bubble wrap if you have those days when you just want to prick them bubbles. Last night I was carried away haha. So, when are you going to use that last bubble wrap you have under your desk?

    Well, what's more staggering is that Steve Jobs (of famed Apple Computer, Macintosh computer and iPod music player) had agreed to join IKEA. This can only mean that IKEA's business strategy will change to a licensing model, just like when Apple licensed its iPod to HP.

If you fly out from the new Bangkok ‘Suvarnabhumi’ International Airport, the huge, colourful and impressive mythical statue popular in Thai and Indian culture, the 3-headed serpent Naga (his name Vasuki) in a spectacular tug-of-war scene with its mid-section body wrapped around a stone, which is actually a mountain, and Vishnu one of the supreme deities in Hindu is sitting on top, will greet you as you finish immigration and step inside the airport’s duty free shopping area. Shanghai’s 5-Kilometer “Nanjing Road” is World’s Longest Shopping Street

For the traveller or tourist who is keen to shop and engage in the modern Shanghainese shopping lifestyle experience, the answer is a visit to Nanjing Road. I suggest multiple visits since this shopping street is 5-kilometers long! Shopping during travelling does not sit high up on my list. I do buy stuff but they are mostly a by-product of my travel activities. I do not travel to shop nor is it a travel activity. But I am always curious about shopping streets in large cities. I want to see what it looks like, what kind of stores they have, what products offer, perhaps there is a café on the corner street that I can sit and have a drink whilst I watch people go about with their shopping?
