Fresh Seafood (Oysters!) at Saint Catherine's Square in Brussels

I always love a good fresh seafood and what better place to get them fresh in Brussels at Saint Catherine's Square. There are seafood bars cooking lip smacking seafood dishes here and fish market stalls selling oysters freshly shucked before your very eyes. Ummm...

This is always a great place to visit when in Brussels if you are looking for a quick fish and crustacean bite. Of course, I cannot say no to oysters! I am always hankering for them and I love them fresh and raw.


Ummm, yummy... just a dash of grind pepper and a lil squeeze of lemon and perfect, these oysters are so unbelievably fresh and delicious.

This fish stall is always busy. I have eaten here at Noordzee before and they are quite good. You buy freshly cooked seafood and just eat it standing on the side streets.


On the square also stands this cocktail mini van. It was a very light autumn day in Brussels, perfect for some wine, beer or a cocktail.


A girlfriend (let's call her Miss Luster) is visiting town and I am playing tourist guide =)

My friend Bubbles, whom I was travelling with in the Balkans, had a request that we stop over at Medjugorje. We got lucky because Medjugorje was on the way to Dubrovnik, Croatia, which is our next stop. Half an hour into our driving, we reached Medjugorje. Bangkok, Thailand: The Story Behind the Impressive Serpent Statue at Suvarnabhumi Bangkok International Airport

If you fly out from the new Bangkok ‘Suvarnabhumi’ International Airport, the huge, colourful and impressive mythical statue popular in Thai and Indian culture, the 3-headed serpent Naga (his name Vasuki) in a spectacular tug-of-war scene with its mid-section body wrapped around a stone, which is actually a mountain, and Vishnu one of the supreme deities in Hindu is sitting on top, will greet you as you finish immigration and step inside the airport’s duty free shopping area. You just have to stop and be dazzled by it. The whole installation is impressive and as I took pictures I wondered what the story is behind this scene. After much googling around, I found out that the statue is very famous in Hindu culture and religion. This legendary scene is called ‘Samudra Manthan’ in other words in English – the ‘Churning of the Ocean of Milk’.
