Stunning Sea Creatures at the Dubai Underwater Zoo

My point and click pocket camera is not bad at all in this shot.

Dubai Underwater Zoo
Website: Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo  |   Location: Dubai Mall

Our ticket to the Dubai Aquarium includes a visit to the Dubai Underwater Zoo so Miss Luster and I decided not to waste the opportunity and money, so we took a tour as well.

I never thought I will enjoy this little trip to the Underwater Zoo but I did. I especially loved the beautiful colours, shapes and faces of the fishes. Its like watching National Geographic and Discovery Channel - Underwater Life in an Aquarium LIVE version.

So I am sharing the pictures. Enjoy!

These are stunning... loved the colours.

Turtles and fishes living together in harmony.

Wow, look at the detail... the texture, those scales, the head... and how calm the thing is.

A school of fish with yellow tails.

People were lining up get into that glass bulb.

Face to face with the lion fish.

Finding Nemo! The clown fish.

Yes, I willingly offered myself to a crocodile but I was not tasty enough so he spit me back out.

A lizard aquarium.

Have no idea what this kind of mollusk is. It looks frightening with those writhing tentacle-like mouth and extremities can suck the life out of you.

I am not sure if these are penguins or some other type of bird. Duck perhaps?

The king crab looks like he is ready to get me. Those legs are so long and strong I am sure. They can prick and can hurt terribly. But I would rather have you in my plate. Steamed.

These are ickky looking worms that resemble like little snakes. They continuously writhe, their half-buried bodies in the pebble sand without ever getting out.

The Dubai Underwater Zoo is a great place if you are into this kind of thing. I was even surprised that I enjoyed the visit myself =)
