Milan Stay: Room Service & Prosecco from Hotel dei Cavalieri
Blondine and I booked our hotel at the Hotel dei Cavalieri because it is in a central location, just a block away from the Piazza del Duomo. Nothing could have been so smack in the city as this, plus of course the comfort it offers. In front of the hotel is the metro subway which we used to get to the Milan Central Train Station during our side trip to Lake Como.
On our first day, the hotel surprised us with a nice gift: Prosecco and Cake

There is also a Nespresso machine which is really nice. We drink it in the morning before hitting for breakfast outside, as well as in the evening whilst lying in bed watching TV.
On our last night we were so tired from our Lake Como day outing that we decided to just order room service. We were also not hungry since we had some aperitivo earlier in the evening (or rather, very late into the afternoon), and when we saw on the menu that they have a degustazione salami mix, we ordered it right away.
Blondine and I loved this to bits. When it comes to salami, the Italians know best.

We also ordered a limousine service from the hotel to Milan Malpensa Airport because we want to make the most of our last few hours in Milan. If we took the public transport, we would have lost around 2+ hours taking the subway to the train station, the train ride to the airport and then the bus from the airport connecting to the terminal. Plus the buying of tickets, the transit and waiting time in between. The limousine service is obviously much better =)

The beds were lovely to sleep on. Firm yet soft.

It took us however a loooooooong time to order this as there seem to be no one from the restaurant in charge of room service picking up the phone?

The symbol of Hotel dei Cavalieri, a relief sculpture of a cavalier on a horse which you will see on the ground floor of the hotel by the lift.
