Tea at Home in Bath, England

I took so many pictures of Bath so I will need time to work on them. Did I tell you that the city is gorgeous? But what I truly loved with this trip is the place where I stayed. I felt like one of the locals living in the centre of Bath. The studio apartment felt like home.


Yup, those are floor to ceiling French windows overlooking a courtyard in the city centre.

Here I am having tea in the evening in my little living room while watching TV and surfing the net.

My luxurious studio apartment right in the smack of the city made this little holiday in Bath a lovely experience. I love coming home to this place. I will post a separate entry soon with lots of pictures about this elegant yet homey studio apartment in the centre of Bath.

My friend Bubbles, whom I was travelling with in the Balkans, had a request that we stop over at Medjugorje. We got lucky because Medjugorje was on the way to Dubrovnik, Croatia, which is our next stop. Half an hour into our driving, we reached Medjugorje. Parking was not easy to find, but we struck lucky and found a space not too far away from the Saint James Church. Medjugorje or Medugorje is a world-famous Catholic pilgrimage site due to the Our Lady of Medjugorje, who claimed to have seen a series of apparitions of the Virgin Mary, the mother of Jesus, to 6 Bosnian children at  Križevac Hill .

Bangkok, Thailand: The Story Behind the Impressive Serpent Statue at Suvarnabhumi Bangkok International Airport

If you fly out from the new Bangkok ‘Suvarnabhumi’ International Airport, the huge, colourful and impressive mythical statue popular in Thai and Indian culture, the 3-headed serpent Naga (his name Vasuki) in a spectacular tug-of-war scene with its mid-section body wrapped around a stone, which is actually a mountain, and Vishnu one of the supreme deities in Hindu is sitting on top, will greet you as you finish immigration and step inside the airport’s duty free shopping area. You just have to stop and be dazzled by it. The whole installation is impressive and as I took pictures I wondered what the story is behind this scene. After much googling around, I found out that the statue is very famous in Hindu culture and religion. This legendary scene is called ‘Samudra Manthan’ in other words in English – the ‘Churning of the Ocean of Milk’.
